Niger Seeds

Niger seeds are very fine, oil rich seeds that are much loved by the finch family. Niger seeds require a special Niger seed feeder as they are very small seeds and would fall out of a typical hanging tube bird seed feeder. Their oil content is about 35% of their weight and Niger seeds are a particular favourite of Goldfinches and other birds from the Finch family.

As of April 2026, we have decided to pause all sales of Niger seed. This is because of the Trichomonosis disease that is having a devastating affect on Finches across the UK.
